Join us on our next adventure to Barbeau Peak in the summer of 2023. The True Patriot Love Foundation expedition to Barbeau Peak in 2023 will support Canada’s military community by attempting to summit Mount Barbeau. Located on Ellesmere Island in Quttinirpaaq National Park, Barbeau Peak is Canada’s most isolated peak and at 8,583 feet (2,616m) the highest mountain in Nunavut, the Canadian Arctic, and all eastern North America. With razor thin edges and deep crevasses, this unique and extremely remote location creates an adventure you will never forget.
Barbeau Peak is a mountain in Qikiqtaaluk, Nunavut, Canada. Located on Ellesmere Island within Quttinirpaaq National Park, it is the highest mountain in Nunavut and the Canadian Arctic.
Expedition participants will come together on this challenging journey where they’ll work as a team to navigate the rugged terrain and volatile weather to summit Barbeau Peak, a feat that has only been achieved on 10 other occasions. Participants will be tested both physically and mentally throughout the adventure, but by joining forces to tackle these obstacles, the expedition team will hone their leadership and self-development skills, all in a unique and remote setting. The Barbeau Peak 2023 expedition will continue the valuable mentorship that forms the basis of our expedition program. Business leaders will offer one-on-one support to military participants as they transition to civilian careers, and civilian business leaders will learn from the valuable experiences and skills of our military and Veteran participants for a mutually beneficial mentorship experience. The expedition will also allow both the military and civilian participants to connect and celebrate the perseverance and unconquerable spirit of our Canadian Armed Forces members in the face of adversity.
